Below are common categories of services exchanged through Merrymeeting Community Shares.
Since service exchanges are just taking off in our area, there are a lot of categories to fill. Although we are busy spreading the word, nothing takes the place of word-of-mouth advertising by You!. If you want a service offered and there are no offerings, contact someone capable of offering that service and invite them to join MCS. The more we include the community the more useful and sustainable it will be.
Once one becomes a member they may:
- Browse, requests, offers, or specific categories of service to see what is currently available. Once you have found what you are looking for you can:
- Read about that person's availability, location, and profile If you decide
to request a specific service from that member you can:
- Send a message to their account. Once you have provided a service, you can:
- Enter the hours earned into your account, automatically
deducting them from the account of the recipient and:
- Generate an email notifying the recipient of the
deduction. Each hour is represented by one time dollar.
